In 2017, he retired from teaching and coaching football in Georgia. In 2018, Coach Robinson and his wife Brenda of 32 years moved to Melbourne Beach. Brenda is currently a school teacher at Holland Elementary. His 2020 starting DBs all earned post season honors as All-County selections and Ethan Wailes earning a Space Coast Daily All-Star Team pick. Coach Robinson and Brenda have three children — Knox a teacher at Satellite H.S. and offensive coordinator for the Scorpions, Buck also a teacher and assistant football coach at Richmond Hill H.S. in Georgia, and Major a student at Georgia Tech majoring in mechanical engineering. Coach Robinson and Brenda have three grandchildren — Hudson, Seven and Rix. His mother Elaine also lives with them in Melbourne Beach. Prior to his arrival to the Space Coast, Coach Robinson spent 30 years teaching and coaching football. In 1988, his coaching career began at Shiloh H.S. in Atlanta, Georgia. For the next 26 years he coached and taught in rural Georgia, most notably Swainsboro H.S. (2000 State Champions). Other schools include Metter H.S., McIntosh County and Washington-Wilkes H.S. His head football coaching record was 140-80-1 with 17 playoff appearances, 5 region championships, 2 semi-final appearances, 1 state championship appearance and had 45 players sign college scholarships. Coach Robinson was born and raised in Atlanta. He is a 1981 graduate from Shamrock H.S. in Decatur, Georgia and was a multi-sport athlete playing football, basketball and baseball for the Dragons. After high school, Coach Robinson attended Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia and played baseball for the Lions. He graduated in 1986.
